I don't think we should have to tell most of you to stay inside. They're not your friends or your family or...or anyone you know. They're monsters.

[He sighs, out of breath.]

If you're outside tell me where you are. Everyone needs to go inside, either to the Sanctuary or the Lux -

"Roxas!"

[A pause.]

Axel? You idiot, what are you doing out here? [Mumbled:] You sure pick a funny time to show yourself.

"I came back for you, partner."

[The communicator clatters to the ground and the video post turns on: all that can be seen are two sets of feet, one in black boots and one in sneakers. And then there's a flash of red, fire, as it streams past the camera. Roxas yells and a foot collides with the communicator, turning it off.]

[Roxas stumbles into the Lux's common room a little over an hour later, walking a little haphazardly and holding his left shoulder.]

[Konan is waiting for him, as promised. As he stumbles in, she makes her way closer, concern etched on her face.]

Roxas-san...

[He looks up at her and smiles a little.]

Sorry I'm late.

[Her expression resumes it's neutral stance, stern and firm...but her eyes remain concerned as she studies him for signs of serious injury.]

You are alive, Roxas-san. This is the important thing, rather than lateness.

Axel can't kill me. Neither...can he.

[His left shoulders is both burned and cut deep with the blades of a chakram, and there's plenty of burns from Xemnas' blades etched into his back and one on his leg.]

Wish I had gotten here sooner.

[She reached a hand out slowly, brushing her fingers just over the cuts and burns marring his shoulder, frowning]

You require healing.

[He glances back at the door.]

We have to bar the door and lock things down. I just need bandages and some water for now.

[She didn't say that she had agreed later to go and assist Uzumaki-san, merely nodding curtly and straightening, turning away]

I will go and procure them for you, please rest.

[He slowly nods and sinks into the chair nearby, sitting on the edge.]

[Konan returns a short time later, gently setting a bowl down on a side table, a roll of bandages resting beside it.]

They must stop soon, surely....

I don't think they will.

[Around Konan, Roxas can be practical. He can be honest. They're both fighters; they both will die for those they care for. He knows she has a harder heart, a sadder heart.]

It's only been two days and more keep springing up. I've been outside for hours and I didn't see anyone until now.

This is worse than the voices in the fog from before. It speaks of something far more ominous approaching, I think...

Allow me to assist in tending your wounds.

[She murmured softly, dabbing a fraction of the bandaging in the water, neatly cutting it with a sharp sheathe of paper from the back of her hand before the skin becomes smooth once more.]

I am worried.

[He nods and allows her to tend to his shoulder, watching her movements almost absently.]

People keep coming...full, real people. They can easily hurt us. They're strong enough.

I don't think that this is going to get better anytime soon. What is Discordia up to?

[With infinite care, Konan began to clean and dress the wounds, silent for a long while, both listening and thinking on Roxas's words. ]

I do not know...but I think we should all be cautious. There is no telling what the next step downwards in this spiral may be.

I agree...but we need to keep our friends inside and search for those lost.

[He winces, but calms down.]

Agreed. Perhaps later. But for now, you should rest.
