The Magician is the facet of John from my world. If you want an unbiased opinion about him, I'm afraid you'll need to ask someone else. I'm far from impartial. I don't know Owen very well. He tends to avoid me. I think I pose too much of a difficulty for him, proof of a system in which he refuses to believe. He seems to take some measure of comfort in referring to me as an alien, and I can't quite find it in me to correct him.
