[In the background, if you listen closely, you'll be able to hear the sounds of chirping faintly. Roxas softly laughs.]

I look away for one day... I can't believe the new ones are hatched. [He sighs.] So that's...two chickens, three babies, and three newborns. At this rate, we'll have a bunch of them by the end of winter. That's a start.

[A pause, as though debating whether or not to turn off the communicator.]

Even when people disappear, more are brought in their place. I don't know if that's the Gods or Discordia or just...this place, but it makes you wonder how long we'll be here. Maybe some of us will go home tomorrow. Maybe we'll be in this place for another year or two.

[A pause.] I guess it's hard to treat each day like it's your last.


...And I wonder if that carnival place really does exist out in those woods.

[He exhales sharply from the cold and anyone listening the post can hear scraping in the background, then a grunt.]

There. That's better. The view's even nicer from up here.

[Roxas sighs.]

I wonder how he celebrates Christmas on his island. I think he'd actually want snow for once.

[A pause, and then a faint sound as he sits.]

I wonder if he misses it too.
